Training and team building

The 3 golden rules when in Cambodia:
* Do not complain about anything
* Do everything you're asked
* Leave every place cleaner than you found it

Character analysis - a great bunch of reliable people!

Team building exercises - we'll make it work!

Resources to prepare participants and their mentors.

A worthwhile day!

Trivia night, a fund-raising success

Great to see a whole community behind the cause.

People were so generous. We raised nearly $7,000, an unbelievable effort!

And what a fabulous night of entertainment and fun!

I was so tired by the end but had overwhelming joy! So this is how good it feels when you work hard to help someone else!

My home group was so supportive, donating cakes, money and joining the event.  The "Not just Pretty" bunch!

Thanks to all the wonderful community at Gymea Baptist Church!

"Participants aren't merely those who go as short term missionaries, but also those who send .., and those who receive .." (The Next Mile)

Ready for trivia night

Everything was ready and looking great for the night .. the tables, the questions, the games and the food.

More importantly a sell-out with extra tables added .. What about those gold star tables!!!

Preparing for trivia

One of a few meetings to organise the main fund-raising event.

Many creative ideas .. a lot of laughter .. a big list of jobs and a lot of willing, capable hands.

The more money we raise, the more women we can help out of prostitution to train them to be productive and self-reliant through the work of Daughters of Cambodia.

Sharing the vision

Opportunity to share with our church family who we are and why we're going ..

Not exactly sure what I will be doing in Cambodia but know the time is right to go .. to grow deeper .. to discover more of God's heart .. to contribute to God's bigger family and show that we care because He cares.

Team 2017

Different ages and stages, different characters. different gifts ... all with the one heart.  Love God and love his people!

What a privilege!

What an opportunity!

God uses people like me to show his character

What a great psalm!  What a good God!

This is the one I want to call My God.

But what if I were the oppressed, the hungry, the prisoner and the blind! How would I know that He is good?

God blessed people like me, who are not oppressed or hungry, who are free and able, so we can bless others.

This is how they know He is good.

This is how it works!

This is my lesson.
